Benches at the pond – update and thanks to Parker

We’re in the process of refurbishing some of the older benches at the pond. Several of the tree slab style benches were made by Cedric himself, but now have some wet rot in both tops and legs. (not surprising after 40 years plus!)

We are trying to keep them in use by adding new plywood tops and would like to thank Parker Building Supplies for their generous donation of plywood for this purpose.

The newer bench which was originally a memorial to Hazel Trenfield has been given a new plaque to Cedric, so it is now a memorial to both Hazel and Cedric. The bench is a lovely place to sit and pond watch, and remember them both.
